We do not practice monoculture and we don’t like prevalent cultures either.
The Azienda Agricola “Poggiolo sulla Val Borbera” was born in 2010 and certified Biological from 2013.
As a farm, we aim to build a well-defined identity based on diversification and rotation of cultures on the few hectares available.
A third of the land is set to orchard, with production of apples and pears of different varieties, together with indigenous plums. The second third is producing vegetables (zucchini, legumes, tomatoes), while the last third is dedicated to herbal plants: lavender, helycrisum and calendula. On the side, we grow strawberries, white and black currants.
We think at the Biodynamic agriculture as the model we aim to reach.
